David E. Chambers, beloved husband for 50 years of Gail (nee Turner), died at Sarasota Memorial Hospital after suffering an abdominal aneurism on October 12. He continued to amaze those caring for him until dying on October 18th at 76 years of age.
David was born in Maple Heights, Ohio, and worked 41 years with General Motors in Hudson, Ohio and Oakland County, MI until retiring and moving to Florida in 2001.
He leaves his children: Vivien Lurlene of Boca Raton; Pamela (Nathan) Land of Bedford, Ohio; Thomas (Juli) Chambers of Vermillion, Ohio; and Carrie Chambers of Milford, Michigan. Two grandchildren, Michael Stewart and Patience Rist and six Great Grandchildren live in Ohio. His brother, Richard Chambers and sister, Arlita (Tom) Neufer also remain in Ohio.
He leaves many friends at Katie’s Café and Michael’s 40+ gym in the Bradenton/Sarasota area..
Deep appreciation and admiration goes to the enormous effort put forth by Dr. R. H. Samson, and Dr. R. Jaikes, and their team of awesome RN’s, for the caring professionalism exhibited in the Critical Care ICU at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
