David "Dave" M Roell

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dave Roell. Dave passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday October 23rd. Dave was a man of God, devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He leaves behind to honor his memory, his wife of 53 years, Sharon Roell, his children, Sandi Roell (Laura), Stephen Roell and Meghan Kraus. Dave is survived by his siblings, Dennis Roell, Bobby Lee (Elaine), Terri Lee and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Dave spent over 20 years working for Eastern Airlines. After leaving Eastern he then spent 22 years working at R2J Chemical Services where he formed many lasting friendships at both places. In retirement Dave enjoyed flying, working in his garden, fishing, spoiling his dog Posey and spending time in NC. He enjoyed being involved with the Western Carolina Dog Fanciers Association when in NC. When home in Bradenton, Dave was involved with West Bradenton Baptist Church and spent time working with the OWLS (Older, Wiser Loyal Servants) group on projects at the church. He also loved to put together Christmas Shoebox’s (Samaritan’s Purse - Operation Christmas Child to send overseas) for children – his favorite was to put together fun fishing kits for the children.

Visitation will be at Manasota Memorial Park (Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home Chapel) 1221 53rd Ave E, Bradenton, FL 34203 on Thursday November 14, 2024 4:00pm – 7:00 pm.

The family will hold a private service on Saturday November 16, 2024 at 2:00 pm

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity made in Dave’s memory or to Anchor House Mission, 13285 Eastern Ave., Palmetto, FL 34221 or West Bradenton Baptist Church, 1305 43rd St W, Bradenton, FL 34209 for the Operation Christmas Child Shoebox’s.
