Delores Newcomer

Survived by husband, Donald L Newcomer, and her children, Vickie Gray of South Bend, IN, Robin Buchanan of Bradenton, FL, Tammy Mathis of Newark, OH, Tina (Joe) Nalbach and James (Jimmy) Buchanan of Bradenton FL, and Don's four children, Ron (Carol) Newcomer, Donna (Roger), Julie (Gene) Burger, and Penny (Phelan). Her grandchildren, Jayson, Sharyl, Stephen, Christina, Russell (Dusty), Tiffany (Becky), Sam, Ashley, Donna, Tony, and Bryan, her 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Ethel Pence; her first husband, James R Buchanan, her sisters, Naomi Mills, Jewel Mills, her brothers, Gordon and David Pence and Don’s son John.

Even though she never had a driver's license Dee loved going places. She walked and rode her 3-wheeled bike all over Bradenton. She rode her bike until she was in her 70’s regularly, perhaps even into her 80’s. She made the best chocolate peanut butter fudge ever. Whether it be Wal-Mart, Red Barn flea market, Dollar Tree, Ohio, California, Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois, Texas, Wisconsin, or the location of her second marriage, Las Vegas.

Family dynamics can be complex but, I think we can all agree on how much we loved and will miss her. Dee was so creative. She loved to draw, and could craft and make things out of just about anything: Christmas trees made from fabric rolls, bridal bouquets out of glow in the dark duct tape, etc. She crafted till the end, making bunnies out of dish cloths. She loved to share what she made. If you don't personally own any of her offerings we may be able to provide a pop tab keychain after the service.

As she always said…

“I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!”

We will miss her!

Memorial Service will be held at Heather Hills Community Center, 4925 3rd St W, Bradenton, FL, on March 30, 2024 at 1:00 pm.

Burial of ashes will be at Woodside Cemetery in Middletown, OH May 2, 2024 at 11:30am.
