Dianne Leigh Snarski

Dianne lived a life rich with dedication and service, both professionally and personally. She worked as a computer programmer, a career from which she retired with honor. Her professional life was marked by diligence and an enduring curiosity for technology.

In her personal pursuits, Dianne was a woman of diverse interests and talents. She found joy in scrapbooking and the meticulous art of building a two-story Victorian dollhouse. Her creativity was matched only by her compassion.

After retirement, she devoted herself to the Kairos Women’s Prison Ministry in South Carolina after participating in the Emmaus Walk. Through this ministry she pored into the lives of those women in prison and helped them find hope in Jesus.

A faithful member of Grace Community Church in Sarasota at the time of her passing, Dianne previously attended Zion United Methodist Church in Anderson, South Carolina, as well as other Methodist congregations throughout her life. She was instrumental in leading the effort to start a singles group at a Sarasota church in the 1990s and was a dedicated Bible class teacher, sharing her faith and knowledge with others.

Dianne was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Floyd Schell; her mother, Virginia Gatti Schell Firch; and her brother, Dennis Floyd Schell.

She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her sister, Darleen Schell Erickson Brandon; her brother-in-law, George Brandon; her nephew, Brian Todd Erickson, and his wife, Christina Hatfield Erickson; her niece, Jessica Leigh Schell Lippert; her nephew, Eric Schell; and several beloved grand-nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to honor Dianne's life will be held on June 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. in the Lighthouse Room at Grace Community Church, located at 4080 Lakewood Ranch Blvd N, Lakewood Ranch, FL 34240.

Dianne will be remembered for her kindness, her commitment to her faith, and her unwavering love for her family and community. She touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion.
