

Born on January 3, 1934, in New York, New York, Dolores lived a life marked by kindness, resilience, and deep devotion to those she loved. She treasured friendships, valued family above all else, and touched many lives through her warmth and caring spirit.
Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Porter; her parents, Meyer and Sarah Kaplan; her sister, Beverly Kaplan; and her brother.
She is lovingly remembered by her two stepdaughters, Patricia Ann Stubbe and Carol Marie Surdyke; her dear friend, Richard Hueber; and the devoted caregivers who provided her with exceptional comfort and compassionate care throughout the years: Nancy Windhauser, Wendy Namack, Danielle Hall, Cheryl Ann Fritz, Jean Marie Thompson, and Jill Hutto. The family also extends heartfelt gratitude to Care Manager Cynthia Palmieri for her guidance, support, and dedication.
A private burial will take place at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park.
Dolores will be remembered for her gentle heart, enduring friendships, and the love she shared so freely with those fortunate enough to know her.
