Donald Wayne Kimmel, 86, passed away on September 5, 2026. In the many years he devoted to his work, he earned the respect of those who knew him through the quiet reliability of a man who understood the value of doing things well.
On January 17, 1959, Donald married Clarice Kimmel. He was a cherished and beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and his family remained at the center of his life. Donald is survived by his daughters, Dina Taylor and Janel Butera-Jones; his grandchildren, Joshua Taylor, Brandon Taylor, Jeremy Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Jason Taylor, Shane Butera, and Seth Butera; and his sister, Della Lenhart.
Donald also found deep enjoyment in the simple and meaningful pleasures of life—traveling, following the Ohio State Buckeyes, cheering for the Lakers, and spending time fishing. These interests brought him happiness and offered moments of connection and companionship that will be remembered with gratitude.
