D.J. was raised in Bradenton, attended Blanche H. Daugherty Elementary, Bradenton Middle School, and graduated with Honors from Southeast High School. D.J. was owner and partner with Tony Sizemore of Hytech Theater and Automation, LLC, founded in 2003. Previously, he was employed at Sun Hydraulics for 10 years. D.J. was an avid car enthusiast, enjoyed automobile restoration, and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.
D.J. was preceded in death by his father Donald L. Wemple, grandfather Ashley and grandmother Harriet Wemple, and grandmother Agnes O’Keefe. D.J. is survived by his loving mother Darlene O’Keefe, girlfriend Jennifer Wise, Pops Jack O’Keefe, uncle Jack and cousin Jack O’Keefe, aunt Judy (Charlie), cousin Jennifer Gibbs, uncle Harry (Leona) Wemple, and many other close family members and very close friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00–6:00pm Thursday, November 3rd and Service will begin at 6:00pm at Manasota Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
