Edgar Allen Prater, age 81, of Ellenton, Florida passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020. Allen was born September 9, 1939 in Marion, Ohio to Mary Jane Prater and John Allen Prater. Allen loved corvettes and was a proud member of the Gulf Coast Corvette Club. He also proudly served and retired from the United States Air Force.
Allen is survived by his daughters Cheri Mosley and Kelly Prater; and grandson Garrett Mosley.
Allen was preceded in death by his wife Judith K. Prater; his father John Allen Prater, his mother Mary Jane Prater and grandson Chad Steinhaus.
A gathering of family & friends for Allen will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Ave E, Bradenton, Florida 34203, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM with Military Honors.
In honor of Allen, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
