Edward J Allen

Raised in Flint, Michigan, Mr. Allen graduated from Northern Highschool and began his 30-year career with General Motors. After finishing his career with GM, he relocated to Palmetto, Florida, to enjoy a life of retirement.

Mr. Allen is survived by his children and their spouses Tina Sparks (Ron) and Lisa Burgess (Bob). He was also blessed to have gained four more through marriage to his late wife, Jeannette Allen; Tina D. Griffin (Ken), Pamela Weber and her son Shawn, Debbie Walker (Robbie), and Wayne Weber (Evelyn). Mr. Allen also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren Michael Hale, Jason Hale (Heather), Taylor Burgess, Riley Burgess, and three great-grandchildren Degan Hale, Makenna Hale, and Ariella Hernandez, who will forever cherish his memory.

Edward was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet Allen, and his second wife, Jeannette Allen; his daughter Susan Welch; his adopted brother Michael Allen; and his parents Clayton and Ruth Allen.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us as we celebrate the life of Edward J. Allen, Tuesday, May 18, 2021, for a 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm visitation followed by a Funeral Service officiated by Pastor Dan Sardinas at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park 1221 53rd Ave E Bradenton, FL 34203. Mr. Allen will then be laid to rest next to his first wife, Janet Allen, at Manasota Memorial Park.
