Elizabeth Crews Warner

After marrying her love, Joe Warner the newlyweds relocated to the country to raise cattle. Elizabeth was not only a cow hunter but an excellent horse woman as well. Joe and Elizabeth enjoyed living in the country, and wrote “Biscuits & Taters” which chronicled raising cattle in Manatee County. Aside from the contributions she made to Manatee agricultural industry, Elizabeth was longtime member of the Historical Society. She devoted many hours to developing the Manatee Historical Village, and working the fairs the Historical society would host each year; Joe and Elizabeth highlighted the history of the people, places, and events in their book “The Singing River” and went on to be voted Citizens of the year in 1994. Alongside of her many accomplishments and extensive traveling, she will mostly be remembered as always being a gracious and kind lady.

She is survived by three nieces; as well as one nephew.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Elizabeth Crews Warner are suggested to Manatee Village Historical Park;1404 Manatee Avenue East, Bradenton, FL 34208.
