George Jagla of Bradenton, FL, passed away on July 10, 2026 at the age of 93. George was born in Chicago Illinois on October 26, 1932. He graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School. He was married to Susan Jean Jagla for nearly 36 years. George worked his entire career at Texaco in Chicago before retiring early and moving to the east coast of Florida where he met Sue.
George had a love for boating. It gave him great joy to be on the water aboard the Sue-Sea Q with Sue. Together they set out on adventures to new places and built friendships that lasted a lifetime. George loved to dance. George loved to sing. George loved to toast the world with a Canadian Club and water. But those things meant nothing without the opportunity to share them with family and friends. Whether it was Friday dinners at Mi Pueblo, cocktails in the pool, or a boat trip to Treasure Island, George was at his happiest when those around him were enjoying themselves.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Margaret Smith. He is survived by daughters Dianna Anderson, Constance Boke, Joanne Cotillo, Christina Flesewski, son Steven Jagla, stepdaughter Nancy Ziemelis, and stepson Timothy Hocevar. He also has 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
