Jack Mullins, 89, of Bradenton (formerly of Jonesboro, Indiana) passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Blake Medical Center. He was born on Sunday, November 1, 1931 in Littcarr, Kentucky to N.D. and Carry Hall Mullins. Jack resided in Bradenton for 32 years after retirement.
Jack was a Corporal in the U.S. Army and a veteran of the Korean War. He finished school in the military and was the recipient of the National Defense Service medal and Bronze Star. He was a General Inspector with RCA and VA nursing assistant. Jack enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was known in his community for his kindness and generosity with his neighbors as he loved taking care of others. Jack had a competitive personality and loved all sports. He was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats.
Those left to cherish Jack’s memory are his wife, Dorothy A. Mullins; two daughters, Jennifer Silvers and husband, Daryl and Pamela Marr and husband, Frederick; granddaughter, Ashley Rose Silvers; three half-sisters, Alta Tidwell, Janice Vance and Dorothy Keefer; and one half-brother, Lemuel Hale.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis Mullins; two half-brothers, Ernie Hale and Brent Hale.
