James P. Goodson, age 86, died on Tuesday in his home with his loving wife and family by his side.
James was a veteran of the Korean War where he served four years as a Marine on the USS Missouri. He grew up in Decatur, IL the son of Dr. Paul Goodson and Catherine Goodson. James passion in life was his family and aviation. His devotion followed him throughout his flawless 33 1/2 year career as a pilot with United Airlines.
James Paul Goodson is survived by a wife, Susan, and three children: Mark Goodson, Dr. Michelle Scott and Paul Goodson. He also leaves behind six grandchildren.
Viewing will be at 9am at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church on Friday May 22, proceeding with services at 10am and burial to follow at Sarasota National Cemetery.
