J.D. King

wife, of 68 years, Oseline Cooley King.

Born Aug. 16, 1924, in Brilliant, Alabama, he was a son of the late Lee and Lonnie Atchly King. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Clara L. Causey, of Birmingham, AL, Clarise B. Yager, of Portage, IN, Floyd (Jack) King, of Birmingham, AL, and Billie King, of Portage, IN; his daughter, Brenda L. Cagle, of Boone Grove, IN; and grandson, Joshua Dillon King, of Portage, IN.

Mr. King was a United States Army veteran. He received the Good Conduct Medal AR600-68, the American DEF SV Medal, and the APTO Medal with one Bronze SV Star. He was a member of the VFW 2002, and enjoyed many activities such as fishing, gardening and watching football. He was a Stationary Engineer at Budd Company, in Gary, IN for 32 years. He was full of love for his friends and family and will be so greatly missed by all.

In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his daughter, Sandra (David) Borisenko, of Demotte, IN; his son, Jimmy (Gail) King, of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Alan L. (Lisa) Cagle, of Boone Grave, IN, Karie A. Hamstra, of Demotte, IN, Jason D. King, of Valparaiso, IN, Tammie M.(Timothy) Erdelac, Hebron, IN, Dawn M. (Brant) Denning, of Fishers, IN, Elizabeth A. Fromm, of Valparaiso, IN; 11 great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Sam, Cody, Brianna, Jacqueli, AJ, Emily, Brady, Brennan, Jackson David (J.D.) and Noel, 1 great-great-grandchild.
