Jimmie Lovett

Jimmie “Papa” Lovett Master Painter, 75 of Williston, FL passed away fighting like a soldier at Lakewood Ranch hospital on Thursday July 8, 2021. He was born in Gainesville, FL to the late Arthur and Mary Lee Lovett. He attended public schools in Levy County, Williston, FL. He served his country as a proud Vietnam Army Veteran.

He moved to Bradenton in 1979 where he retired from Tropicana in 2005, after 30 years of dedication. His first favorite thing in life was being the best “Papa” ever and secondly fishing.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his lovely wife Patricia Ann Lovett. Also two brothers Cecile Lovett and Linnon Smiley and sister Bertha Fluitt.

He is survived by his children Kim Lovett of Williston, FL; Tabitha Lovett of Sanford, FL; Sheila Haynes of Williston, FL; Tiffany Gustave (Carlos) of Bradenton, FL; Calvin Williams Jr. of Bradenton, FL; LaTorria Eldridge of Bradenton, FL; Courtney Allen Jr. of Bradenton, FL and Gregory Cotton of Bradenton, FL. Jimmie also leaves behind two brothers James Lovett of Gainesville, FL and Arthur Lovett Jr. of Williston, FL along with many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins to forever cherish his memory.

A Visitation for Jimmie will be held Friday July 16, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave E Bradenton, FL 34203. The following afternoon at 3:00 pm a funeral service will take place at Happy Gospel Church, 1915 53rd Ave E Bradenton, FL 34203.
