Judith Diane Hawkins Fischer, of Silver Spring, Maryland, passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Born on December 20, 1946, Judith was the beloved wife of Hugh Luther Fischer and a devoted mother, grandmother, and cherished friend.
Family was the center of Judith’s world, and being a loving wife and mother brought her immeasurable joy. She filled her life with laughter, friendship, and treasured moments shared with those she loved. Judith enjoyed golfing, playing bridge, and spending time with the many lifelong friends she held dear. She had a special gift for building and nurturing lasting friendships, and her warmth, kindness, and love of life touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Judith is survived by her husband, Hugh Luther Fischer; her children, Karl Fischer (Anne) and Stephanie Fischer Burwood (Gene); her grandchildren, Ryan Fischer (Tory), Jeffrey Fischer (Maria), Rowan Fischer, Cayla Bertrand (Ethan), and Abigail Burwood; and many beloved relatives and friends.
Judith’s greatest legacy is the love she gave so freely and the beautiful memories she created with those around her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A Committal Service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Rd 72, Sarasota, FL 34241, US, on September 18, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
