
Lawrence E. Behr, "Larry", passed away after a short stay at the Bradenton Hospice House in Bradenton, FL. He was 94 years old. He was born in Bethlehem, PA where as a adult he worked for the UGI Utilities company as a customer service technician until his retirement in 1991. He was predeceased by his wife of 74 years, Arlene Deily Behr in November, 2022. Together they loved going to their cabin at Lake Wallenpaupack where they enjoyed boating, swimming, water skiing, and fellowship with their many friends there. When they were home, they served in any way they could at their church, Trinity UCC.
In 2014 they moved to Clayton, NC to be near their daughter Janice Behr Venskytis and her husband Frank Venskytis and then after his wife passed away, Larry moved in April, 2023, to Brookdale Assisted Living in Bradenton, FL to be near his son, Alan Behr. Larry had 3 grandchildren, Nicole Venskytis of Bethlehem, PA, Nathan Venskytis and his wife Samantha Cabrera of Woodbridge, CT, and Laura Behr of Menasha, WI.
A private memorial will be held by the family in Bethlehem, PA with a subsequent sprinkling of his and his wife's ashes at Lake Wallenpaupack.
