

Lionel was Jewish and attended the Moral y Luces school in Caracas, Venezuela. After graduating from highschool he volunteered in a Kibbutz for 9 months in Israel. He studied civil engineer in the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello and completed a master's degree in construction management in the Universidad Metropolitana. He loved his job with Manatee county utilities where he pursued his love for geographic information systems (GIS) and computer languages. In Venezuela, he used his engineering studies to manage a port, help design and build roads and highways, but also in the construction field in general. He also was able to assist his mother with the family business, a jewelry store, after his father's passing.
His hobbies included fishing, watching soccer and baseball games, grocery shopping, rock music, and traveling around the world.
He is survived by loving wife, Rossina Leider, children, Roberto Carlos Leider and Nicolle Leider, whom he adored and provided for.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert & Eni Fischer Leider.
Funeral Service October 30, 2019 at 1pm from The Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home 1221 53rd Ave E. Bradenton Florida. Graveside Service to follow at 2pm at the Temple Beth Sholom Cemetery, 901 Circus Blvd. Sarasota FL 34232. Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home is entrusted with final care.
