Mary was cleverly disguised as a Human Resource director for Sears.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Armstrong; parents, Rufus Doran and Nancy Hale and son, Edward Armstrong.
Mary is survived by her son, James Armstrong (Val); grandchildren, Jamie Lee, Ben-David and Jordan James, and great-granddaughter Marlee.
Born in Alabama, she was one of 11 children, but joked that her brother was an only child, as he was surrounded by so many sisters.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Ave E, Bradenton, FL 34203. The family will receive friends from 10:30 am to 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Manasota Memorial Park.
