Michael Gamrot, age 94, of Bradenton, FL, passed away on Tuesday, to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born in Homestead, PA, the son of the late Andrew and Julia Sabol Gamrot. He is predeceased by his sisters Mary and Ann and brother Andy. Michael is survived by his wife of 73 years, Mary, and his daughter Marilyn Biggart and husband Jim, sons Richard and wife MaryLou, and Ronald and wife Mary Ann, five grandchildren, Cathy Taylor, Bret Gamrot, Wendy Young, Kristen Channing, and Amber Kraus, and 10 great grandchildren. He was in the U.S. Army. He worked as an Interior Decorator for Gimbels and Kaufmanns Dept. Stores in Pittsburgh and later opened Michael Gamrot Interiors. Decorating, designing, and helping his clients was his passion. Michael was a good friend to many and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Saturday, May 24, at 2:00 at Westminster Manor, 1700 21st Ave. West, Bradenton, Fl. In lieu of flowers, please, donate to the Sarasota Stroke Association or a charity of your choice. Manasota Memorial Park and Funeral home is assisting the family.
