Born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, she had been a resident of Bradenton since 2009, moving here from Yardley, Pennsylvania after the death of her husband Charles L. Williams in November of 2008. She was also a longtime resident of Pittsburgh, where she lived for nearly 30 years.
Mim worked for Law School Admission Services from 1986 till June of 2002. She had many close friends with whom she has continued to keep in touch. Her years there were some of her happiest days, as is evidenced by the fact she was there until the age of 77.
She is survived by her son Scott C. Williams of Pittsburgh and her daughter Leslie W. Hinton of Lakewood Ranch, Florida, and by her husband John T. Hinton III, grandchildren Daniel, Adrienne, J.T., Scott and Taryn Leigh, great-granddaughter Gabriella Leigh, sister-in-law Dorothy Baker of Pittsburgh, and several nieces and nephews.
Mim was a devoted wife, mother and Nana. She devoted her entire life to taking care of her family. She was always there when we needed anything, and we all have very happy memories of our times together. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
It gives us peace to know that she is now with her beloved husband of 59 ½ years. It also gives us peace to know that she passed away in her sleep and never had any suffering.
Visitation will be Saturday June 2, 2012 at 9:00am with Funeral Services following at 10:00am at Manasota Memorial Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Avenue, East in Bradenton.
