Mozie was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1963 and faithfully served Jehovah throughout her life. Her love for Jehovah God was evident in her words, actions, and ministry. She often shared her faith with family members, friends, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and all those she met. Two expressions many will remember her for were, “Keep the Faith” and “Praise Jehovah.”
Mozie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She leaves behind her three children, one brother, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and many beloved family members and friends whose lives she touched.
She worked as a housekeeper and was known for her strong work ethic and caring spirit. Demonstrating determination and perseverance, Mozie completed her high school education at the age of 65, proving that it is never too late to achieve a goal.
For approximately 15 years, she was affectionately known as the “Moecookie Lady” throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. She enjoyed baking and selling cookies to retail stores, local businesses, and community events, bringing smiles to many through her hard work and friendly personality.
Above all, Mozie loved Jehovah, her family, and her ministry. Despite health challenges, she remained faithful and focused on the hope found in God’s promises.
Her family finds comfort in the Bible’s promise of the resurrection and looks forward to the day they will welcome her again.
The family sincerely thanks all relatives, friends, caregivers, medical professionals, congregation members, and others who showed love, support, prayers, and kindness throughout Mozie’s life and during her final days.
