Paul joined the Royal Air Force when he was 18 years old and served 25 years in the military leaving the service in 1988. He still pursued his love of aircraft by continuing working for various airlines using his expertise to identify cracks and corrosion in a plane before they could cause life threatening consequences. He gained much respect through his conscientiousness and work ethics. Most importantly to him he was a lifelong Leicester City Football Club supporter who delighted in watching them become Premiership Champions in the 2015/16 season. He will be remembered by all as a wonderful, kind man, always happy to help everyone, who endured his illness with bravery especially towards the end and left a lasting memory with everyone he met.
He is survived by his loving wife Maureen, and his beloved stepchildren Vicky, her fiancé Matt, and Emma.
He is preceded in death by his parents Harold & Verrill Beniston
