

Phyllis Elaine Dennison, age 95, of Bradenton, Florida (formerly Wesley, Maine) passed away peacefully at home, on May 11, 2026, surrounded by family. Phyllis was born on December 6, 1930, in Cherryfield, Maine, to late Charles E. and Velma (Beal) Tucker.
She was preceded in death by husband Roy “Tinker” Dennison Jr., stepson Brian Dennison, sister Vonalee Huckins, former husband Earle Corliss and son-in-law John “Greek” Nestopoulos.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Gayle) Corliss, Valarie Nestopoulos, stepson Bruce (Susan) Dennison. Grandchildren Danielle Leeman, Michelle Corliss, Corey, Troy, and Joey Dennison. She also leaves behind 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, special nieces Sheila Curtis, Heidi Huckins and other numerous nieces, nephews, friends, Marie Wotherspoon, Billy Yeaster and many others. She is also survived by her beloved dog, Aimee.
Phyllis moved to Bradenton from Wesley, after the passing of Tinker to live with her daughter, Valarie. She graduated from Cherryfield Academy in 1949 as class valedictorian. She worked many jobs throughout her life such as waitress and pastry cook at Cloud Nine. She was an avid reader, loved cooking, going to casinos and doing word puzzles. She always enjoyed her afternoon wine time while working on picture puzzles. She was a Moose member.
She was a strong and spunky lady who loved her family. Her motto was “One Day at a Time.” She will be deeply missed.
