Phyllis Sadie Littler, 91, of Bradenton, passed away Dec. 13, 2015. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Thompson, who died in the invasion of Normandy, and her second husband John Littler.
Born Oct. 3, 1924, in Lima, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late William Clinton Bennett and Hazel Marie Harris Bennett. She was also preceded in death by three children, John, Janice, and Donald Littler.
She moved to the Bradenton area from Toledo in 1958. She was retired from the US Postal Service after over 20 years of service, and was the first female letter carrier in Manatee County.
She is survived by three children, Jerry (Elaine Chamberlain) Thompson, of Bradenton, Judy (Jim) Ingram, of GA, and James Howard (Charlotte) Littler, of Bradenton; her brother, Jack (Mary Kay) Bennett, of Ohio, 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5-8pm on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at Manasota Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2pm on Sat. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Manasota Memorial Park.
