Dear Rich,  and family and friends,
It seems like just a few short days ago that we spoke, and when we did, we both knew that significant change was happening. We didn’t have to say too many words because what we did share was a common regard for our mutual respectfulness, and an appreciation for the opportunity we had to work together for ever so short a time. 
For me there was a recognition of a very meaningful friendship, borne of sharing a love for our country, and a hope for a future of freedom for our nation’s children, and our families and friends.
I was first drawn to you immediately two years ago by your incredible foundational work on the Proud Majority.
You impressed me right then as a “Mentor”, “Professor”, “Leader”, “Patriot”, “Author of Change” …and yes, “Friend”.
The work you have done is incredible beyond belief. The research, the knowledge, the presentation layout, the organization, is all extraordinary – obviously the work of a man pledged to the truth, and to the dissemination of these truths to those many in our world who don’t understand them.
Therein lies the challenge. You have created a challenge for all of us who care deeply, as you do, about the future of these United States.
My respect for you in the beginning two years ago was immediate. My respect for you now has grown exponentially. It is up to us now.
May we all collectively respond to your immense leadership and bring freedom and good back to our beloved country.

We are saddened to learn of Rich Hissrich’s death. Although we were acquaintances for a short time,  we thoroughly enjoyed his friendliness, brilliant mind and graciousness. RIP, fine gentleman.

We Met Rich Hissrich Saturday, November 3, 2018. On Wednesday, Halloween, we closed on our Del Web home. Promises of Tennis were one of the things that attracted us here—so we were looking forward to getting on the courts.

The Del Webb November Sports & Fitness Calendar said “Open Tennis Drop-in 9AM” for Saturdays and Tuesdays. So Saturday morning we dressed in our tennis duds, loaded our bags and found our way to the courts. 

It was there we met Rich Hissrich. He was sitting and reading a book. Our bags were clue enough. He eagerly welcomed us. Soon a few others showed up. Rich introduced us and got everyone on the courts playing.

As a member of the newly formed Tennis Club Board, Rich had volunteered to show up every Saturday and Tuesday morning to organize tennis for anyone who came. He filled in when another player was needed to complete a foursome or simply to hit with someone. He always brought a book to read in case no one showed up.  

It was a small group in those days but Rich continued to show up, greet newcomers and get them involved.

Tennis was only one facet of his life. But his contribution to it here at Del Webb was enormous. We’ll miss him—as will the many others whose lives he touched.
