Robert “Bob” Walter Pieper Jr., 83, of Parrish, Florida, and formerly of Bethany, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of June 20, 2025, at Middlesex Shoreline ER in Westbrook, Connecticut.
Born on April 23, 1942, to Evelyn and Robert Pieper Sr., Bob lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication to family. He was married to the love of his life, Judy, for 63 and a half years—a milestone that would have reached 64 years on November 10, 2025. Their enduring marriage was a testament to their deep bond and shared life journey.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Judy and their five children: Robert Walter Pieper III (Pam), Eric Pieper (Jamie), Kimberly Robarge (Brian), Kristen Russo (Marc), and Douglas Pieper. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren—Whitney, Benjamin, Kirsten, Kevin, Kirk, Brett, Conor, Ryan, and Finley—and great-grandfather to Kinley, Dahlia, and Kane. His legacy of love and family lives on through them.
A hardworking and gifted man, Bob dedicated 43 years of service to BIC Pen in Milford, CT, where he worked as a toolmaker designer and technical illustrator. His contributions included designing the iconic BIC Clic and co-developing a tool—alongside his eldest son, Robert III—that continues to be used in the music industry.
Bob was passionate about scuba diving and shared that love with his sons and grandchildren, exploring the depths of the ocean in locations like Catalina Island, the Bahamas, the Caribbean, the Florida Keys, and Bonaire.
He was a man of many talents, but perhaps most endearing was his joyful passion for music and performance. Bob was a beloved Elvis Presley impersonator, bringing smiles and entertainment to countless people at weddings, retirement homes, and community events. His voice and vibrant spirit touched many, and we are certain that he is singing right now with the Lord.
Bob's deep love for his family and wide circle of friends was unwavering. His warmth, humor, and generous heart will be remembered and missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
