

Rosemarie J Goebel, 95, of Bradenton passed away at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center on August 30, 2020. She was born in New York City on January 17, 1925 to Mary Catherine and Henry Geipel. She attended Bayside High School and proudly served with the Women's Army Corps during WWII.
She enjoyed needlepoint and crochet, was an avid reader and storyteller, with an infectious laugh. Mrs. Goebel will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.
She is survived by her two daughters, Diane Zaron (Donald) and Carol Ann Kolody (Bohdan); eight grandchildren, Doreen, Evan, Dawn (BJ), Jeff (Tara), David (Christina), Kerri, Greg (Sara), and Stefanie; four great grandchildren, Bryce, Isabella, Giavanna, and Jaster; sister, Georgianna Orkwis; and two daughters-in-law, Barbara Goebel and Judy Goebel.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Goebel was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Goebel; son, Charles Goebel, Jr., and nine siblings, John, Henry, Madeline, Joseph, Charles, Catherine, May, Eugenia, and Grace.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 12, from 12 until 4 p.m. at Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park with a Catholic Memorial Mass beginning at 2 p.m. A committal service will be held at Long Island National Cemetery at a later date.
