

Theresa Elizabeth (Meyer) Edgeton passed away peacefully under Tidewell Hospice care at the Pines of Sarasota on July 20, 2026 at the age of 93. Terri was preceded by her mother and father, Ethel and Carl Meyer, her sons Brad and Brian Edgeton, her three sisters, Helen, Angie, Mary and her brother, Carl. Terri is survived by her son, Bruce Edgeton, her daughter, Val Lucas, her daughter-in-law, Hazel Edlinger, and her loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Terri lived an interesting and purposeful life. She was an Air Force Korean War Veteran. She moved near Cape Kennedy, Florida with her four children, and husband, who worked on the Apollo Mission to the Moon space flights. Terri hosted such notables as Dr Werner Von Braun, the head of NASA, and Dr J. Robert Oppenheimer, the nuclear physicist.
Terrie earned her Masters in Social Work at the University of South Florida. She became Administrator for the Division of Blind Services for the Florida State Department of Education. She was well loved by her employees, peers, and clients.
Terri was well known for baking her famous nut cups every Christmas. As a Village Gardens Crazy Crafter, she made beautiful, Handcrafted greeting cards for friends and family. She was an avid protestor of gun violence. She was especially proud to accompant her daughter and Hazel to a dinner in Washington, DC to hear President Clinton make an address on Human Rights.
Terri will be remembered for her infectious smile and laugh, her wicked sense of humor, and her love for her children and family.
