

Wanda Knipp, 76, passed away on October 7, 2024, in Arcadia, Florida. Born on April 10, 1948, in Coburg, Germany, Wanda dedicated her life to the care and well-being of others. She moved to Florida in 1998 to be with her life partner, Marlea Hughes.
Wanda pursued a fulfilling career in nursing. Wanda graduated from Felician University's College of Nursing in St Lodi, NJ, in 1981 and worked as a registered nurse at Manatee Memorial Emergency Room. She also served as an admissions nurse for Tidewell Hospice in Sarasota, Florida.
Wanda was known for her deep kindness, patience, and perceptiveness. A fabulous listener and gentle soul, she was always direct and concise with her words. Her hobbies included gardening and reading, which she pursued with as much passion as her professional endeavors.
She is survived by her children, Sarah Veronica DiGioia (Maurice "Mo" Gaston), Angela Knipp, Joseph Knipp, and Robert Knipp. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Veronica and Wadaslaw Koslowski.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Tidewell Hospice in Arcadia, an organization very close to her heart. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, Bradenton, Florida. Wanda's life and legacy will be remembered by all who knew her as a beacon of love and compassion.
