He was preceded in death by his father Herbert Curtis Watson, mother Ruby Lillian Oswald Watson and sister Antoinette Belle Moyers. Watson is survived by his son John Watson and daughter-in-law Pam Watson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, daughter Janice Coker and son-in-law Rev. Nick Coker of Loudon, Tennessee, grandchildren Chris and Jessica Coker of Loudon, Ashley Watson of Chattanooga, and long time and devoted friend Lois Villalobos and family of Bradenton.
Wayne retired from DuPont of Chattanooga after 36 years. He was also employed by Werner Trucking and by the Manatee County Highway Department. He was a long time member and former President of the Chattanooga Area Model Railroad Club.
Visitation will be held April 12, 2012 from 10:00 AM–noon, with a Graveside Funeral Service following at Manasota Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Avenue, East in Bradenton.
