of 70. He was born August 18, 1947 in Klamath Falls, Oregon. He graduated from Henley High
School and then joined the Army. He was stationed in Germany. After he was honorably discharged from the Army, he went to Willamette University in Salem, Oregon where he earned his MBA. Upon graduation he moved to Denver, Colorado and went to work for the U.S. Government Accountability Office
(GAO) as an auditor. During his time with GAO he received his CPA from the State of
Colorado. After several years with GAO, he left and went to work for the Department of the
Interior. He was with the Department until his retirement in December 2009. Bill loved the
outdoors. He was an avid dirt biker, motorcyclist, hunter, downhill skier and kayaking enthusiast.
He was a lifetime member of SASS (Single Action Shooting Society) and loved being a cowboy
reenactor. He competed at various local SASS sanctioned cowboy clubs. He was a devoted,
loving husband, step father and a great friend to many. He was always willing to lend a hand. He
will be remembered for his loyalty, honesty, integrity and reliability. Anyone who knew him
knew they could count on him. He will be missed by all those who loved him more than words
can ever express He is survived by loving Wife Deborah, step-son Harry DuBois, brother Craig (Bonnie)
Breithaupt, sisters Marlee Lindland, Ann (Chuck) Lynn, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents William P. & Marilyn Breithaupt, brother in-law Gary
Lindland. Gathering will be held at The Manasota Funeral Home on Saturday June 16, 2018 from 10am to
11am followed by a Memorial service at 11am.
