William Alexander Hamilton

March 2, 1930January 9, 2019

William (Bill) Hamilton passed away at the age of 88 on January 9th. He is survived by his wife of nearly 67 years, Joan Hamilton; by his three daughters, Janet (spouse Charles), Joyce (spouse Kenneth), and Jill (spouse Randy); and by his four grandchildren, Cathryn, Shelby, Erich (spouse Hannah), and Nicholas.

Since Bill would have strongly opposed a long recitation of his many life accomplishments or flowery praise of his character, suffice it to say he lived a good, long and full life, with plenty of laughter and adventures along the way.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any of the following organizations, which are near and dear to the family: Hope Family Services of Bradenton FL; Tidewell Hospice of Bradenton FL; or the Church of the Redeemer of Sarasota FL (marked for the Building Fund).

Robert Toale & Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park in Bradenton, Florida is entrusted with final care.

I loved my uncle Bill very deeply.
He was so kind to his mother, sister and brother and all of us cousins. He was full of life and humor
On a visit to Great Falls in the early 1980’s, my husband Gary and Bill played our little community of Black Eagle’s nine hole golf course on the rolling hills of the Anaconda Company Copper Smelter
When Uncle swung his club his feet flew out from under him As the grass was wet from early morning dew.
He’d not planned to play so was in his street shoes.
Gary and Bill had quite a laugh and the round was enjoyable for both
He was a true treasure and his influence on my life will live on as I remember him
