Born on January 22, 1966, Dave was a beloved brother, uncle, dear friend, and community member.
Dave was known for his quick wit, generosity, and unwavering support for those around him. He had a passion for helping others as he served as an R.N. for 35 years. His enthusiasm was contagious. His laughter, sense of humor and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dave attended Upsala College then received his R.N. from Essex County College. He continued his joy of learning by earning certifications in cosmetology and massage therapy later in life, but his true passion was nursing. Dave left an impression; his big bright smile and sassy personality will be remembered.
He is survived by his brother Bill Ray (Becky), best friend Evelyn Mazzei (Steve Leyendecker), niece Catherine, nephew Michael and beloved dog Charlie. We will continue to cherish his memory and carry forward his legacy of love and compassion.
According to Dave’s wishes a private memorial service will be held at a later date with the spreading of his ashes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dave’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the Salvation Army, both causes close to Dave's heart.
