Allen was born in Newton, NJ to the late Earl Roy and Martha (Eckman) Gray. He worked as a site manager for more than 45 years for Oldcastle Lawn & Garden in Mount Hope, NJ prior to his retirement in 2019. Allen also worked for the former Limecrest Corp. and GLF in Branchville.
Allen was known for being very generous, kind and having a big heart. He was fond of spending quality time with his family and friends in the community and enjoyed going to the casinos. Allen was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast and he especially loved to watch baseball, Nascar, and golf.
Allen is survived by his sister Judy Emmans and her husband Bruce; his aunt, Lydia Eckman; as well as many cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23rd from 5pm to 8pm at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main St, Branchville, NJ. Interment will be held privately in Branchville Cemetery.
