Joanna was born in Franklin and was a lifelong Sussex County resident. She attended Newton High School then High Point Regional High School where she graduated. Joanna worked as a presser at Betty Brite Dry Cleaner for many years prior to retirement. She enjoyed the simplicity of life, and her favorite activities were spending time with her family and relaxing at home. Joanna also had a fondness for animals, especially her pet bird, Sunshine.
Joanna was predeceased by her parents, Donald and Bessie (Vandermark) Gould; and her brothers, John Vandermark and Donald Gould. She is survived by her husband who she’s been with for 39 years, Steve Oliver; her children, Tina Wurzbach (Randy), Cory DeGroot (Kathy), Joseph DeGroot, Tammy DeGroot (William Von Hollen), Jeremy Oliver (Danielle Rozone), and Steven Oliver (Kelly); her grandchildren, Cory, Malisa, Zachary, Mackenzie, Aubrey, Wayne, Colton, and Arianna; her great-grandchildren, McKenna, Cory Jr., Jameson, Kade, Michael, Jayce; her sister, Wanda Shuart; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Joanna will be held from 3 pm to 6 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main St., Branchville, NJ, with funeral services beginning at 4 pm.
