Lorraine was born in Sussex, NJ on May 28, 1947 to the late Walter and Josephine (Talmadge) Denzer. She graduated from Newton High School in 1965, then earned a Bachelor’s degree with a teaching certification from Newark State College in 1969. Lorraine taught math at Washington Township High School in Gloucester County, NJ. After returning to Sussex County, she became the Treasurer of School Monies at Frankford School and the Treasurer of Frankford Township for 26 years.
After her retirement, Lorraine became a member of the Hampton Senior Club, the Frankford Senior Club and the Cemetery Committee for Frankford Plains Cemetery. She was involved with the New Jersey State Fair working with the Queen of the Fair Committee and the talent show. Lorraine was a member of the Frankford Plains United Methodist Church and served as their auditor for 30 years.
Lorraine is survived by her husband of 52 years, Donald Mullen of Hampton Twp., NJ; her son, Michael and wife, Carol, of Denver, CO; her daughter, Dawn Mullen of Lake Hopatcong; and two grandchildren, Mason and Mya of Denver, CO.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 am on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main St, Branchville, NJ, with a funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow in Frankford Plains Cemetery, Plains Rd, Augusta, NJ. Online condolences may be offered at www.woodfuneralhome.net.
