As the sun sets in that vast western sky,
Our hearts now grieve as it’s time to say our last goodbye.
So many sunsets , too many to count
So many children and children’s children that happened to come about .
We laughed , we cried
And then laughed some more.
That was the secret that kept us alive.
Our parents gave us all their best,
Our Mom though was not like the rest .
Her heart reached out beyond our dreams,
Her love for her “119 grandchildren” was impressive by all means .
Our hearts are now
With the loss of another ,
It’s not just the view , but the loss of our mother.
Her love and humor got us through it all
It was her love for us that helped us stand tall
Her strength and stubbornness will carry on in us
And the love from her heart will never be lost
Because it has passed on to those who cherished her the most .
Forever in our hearts,
Forever in our minds,
Let us never forget her
As she leaves this world behind.
