Rose was born and raised in Newark, NJ, and lived in several locations throughout northern NJ including Wayne and Parsippany before settling on Lake Owassa in Frankford Township in 1973. Rose was a member of the Branchville Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and was active in the Daisy Roe Chain. She also served many years on the Frankford Township Board of Health. Rose was known for her skilled knitting and her craft-making. She was a lover of bridge and was member of a local bridge club for decades. Rose enjoyed Broadway theater and supported The Children’s Center for Learning/P.G. Chambers School Auxiliary of Cedar Knolls NJ.
Rose and her husband Fred loved to travel and spent time hosting foreign exchange students through the Branchville Rotary. But most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.
Beloved wife of 65 years to the late Frederick C. Braun, Rose is survived by her four sons: Lawrence and his wife Cindy, Eric and his wife Cheryl, Randall, Jeffrey and his wife Robin, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and her sister Mae DiPaolo. She was predeceased by her husband, 6 sisters and 2 brothers.
