Travis was born on May 7, 1980 in Newton to the late Arthur Johnson and Lori Olsen. Travis was a highly skilled electrician and worked for SCF Electric beginning in 2008 before joining his cousin Justin and Uncle Peter last year to work for the family business. Travis was a hard worker; smart, creative, easy-going and incredibly kind and generous with his abilities and time. He would lend a hand to anyone in need with a smile on his face. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid archer. He also thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. Travis spent most of his free time with close friends hanging out, eating, laughing, going to the movies, talking on the phone and helping others. Travis was a truly gentle, happy soul and he will be missed tremendously by family and friends.
Travis is survived by his younger sisters, Christa Lilly and her husband Clayton, and Candice Hirt and her husband Brian; his cousins, Justin Johnson and his wife Dana, and Jessica Johnson and her fiancé Thomas Kraus; his uncle Peter Johnson and his wife Sandra; his nephew Ira Lilly and nieces Madison and Olivia Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Wood Funeral Home, 16 Main Street, Branchville, NJ. Visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the funeral home.
