Ardys Mae Lambert Brittain

Ardys was born on May 24, 1924 the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Strohbeen) Lambert of Amery, Wisconsin. Ardys was raised in Wisconsin and followed her twin sisters to Great Falls, Montana where she met her husband James Donovan (Don) Brittain. They were married on January 3, 1953 and had three daughters. Ardys managed the family’s many relocations, including locations in California, Oregon, Washington, Australia and The Netherlands; however, they primarily made Northern California (Orinda) their home for many years. Ardys and Don also spent time living in Saudi Arabia and England. Ardys greatly enjoyed meeting the various people of the different communities and cultures she experienced. She and Don moved to Brentwood, CA in November 2001. She passed away while recovering from surgery on June 12th, 2016. Surviving family members include her husband, her daughters Rebecca Ivary, Debra Brittain and Elizabeth Brittain Churm, their spouses Mark Ivary, Daniel Parks and James Churm as well as her beloved grandchildren Bess (Andrew) Hetzler and James Ivary. She is also survived by her twin sisters Donnie Ginalias and Bernie Henderson and brother Richard Lambert.
