Catherine Helen Salotti

Catherine “Kay” Salotti entered peacefully into rest in Brentwood on March 23, 2012. She was 89 years old.Born in San Leandro on December 9, 1922. Catherine was a retired yard duty supervisor for the Pleasanton Unified School District. She was raised in San Leandro and was a 35 year resident of Pleasanton prior to moving to Brentwood 12 years ago. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and especially spending time with her loved ones. Catherine will be deeply missed.She is survided by her devoted daughter Danielle San Martino (Roy) of Brentwood; grandchildren Lisa Vaught (Jon) of Castro Valley; Diane Sanchez (Lou) of Brentwood; Linda Johnson (Rick) of Brentwood; Kim Mentink (Henry) of Dublin & Amy Mustacheo (Todd) of Clovis; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren and many cherished extended family & friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dominico “Don” Salotti, her sister Martha Bega, her son Donald J. Salotti & her grandson Michael J. Salotti.Visitation for Catherine will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27th at Brentwood Funeral Home, 839 First Street, Brentwood. The vigil service begins at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28th at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 500 Fairview Ave., Brentwood. Catherine will be laid to rest at a private burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.In leiu of flowers, donation to Hope Hospice of Contra Costa County, St. Anthony’s Dining Room in Oakland or charity of choice preferred.
