May 29, 1969February 4, 2021

Cindy (Cynthia) Mae Sayong, 51, resident of Antioch, California, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 4, 2021, after a courageous 13-year battle with cancer. She is now at peace with no more suffering. Born in Lexington, Kentucky, she lived her entire adult life in California.

Beloved wife of Ernie Sayong for 32 years, devoted mother to Joseph Sayong (Antigone) and Stephanie Sayong (Catie). She was the beloved grandmother of Giovanni Sayong. She was the daughter of Dennis and Carol (deceased) Fletcher. She was the beloved sister of Denise Genovese (Sammy), John Dennen (deceased) and Parker Dennen (Stacey). As well as Walter Genovese and several nieces and nephews and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

She was an accountant by trade. She was active in sports (baseball, softball, roller skating, swimming and camping). She loved her three blue nose bullies and many other pets. She was selfless and very giving. She enjoyed cooking big holiday meals and get togethers.

She will be deeply missed but will remain in our hearts forever.

Due to COVID the immediate family will have a private celebration of Cindy’s life. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The American Cancer Society in the name of Cindy Sayong.

To the Family of Cindy Sayong,

Our heart aches to hear of the passing of our niece Cindy! Her family in Kentucky will miss her too. Cindy lived a beautiful life and loved her family dearly.
Uncle Howard’s favorite memory of her was when she played baseball for him. Cindy had the perfect batting stance. She looked like she would knock the ball out of the park!! Fun times!!
Rest sweet girl! We love you!!

Denise, Ernie, Joseph and Stephanie

We can’t express how sorry we are for the loss of Cindy. She was part of our family here in Kentucky until you moved to California. She was our niece. I always felt like she, Denise and Johnny were my children too. We spent many nights and week’s together until Carol (my sister) moved to California. We had many good times. She will be missed and in our hearts forever!

Love
Aunt Margaret and Uncle Steve
