After returning from the Service he attended Aimes Community College. David retired after 30 years working as a carpenter. Dave was a fan of all sports, but most especially the Broncos. He loved his family.
Dave is preceded in death by his mother Ann Penaflor, father David Penaflor, brother Filbert Penaflor, and sister Beatrice Mondragon. He is survived by his wife Rosanna Carranza Penaflor, siblings Jen Tellez, Nash Penaflor, and Joe Penaflor, and by his children Deborah Montoya, Jamie Penaflor, Melissa Penaflor, and David Penaflor.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Candice Montoya, Amanda Montoya, Marianna Gutierrez, Rupert Gutierrez ,Sarai Penaflor, Jiovanni Penaflor, Jayden Penaflor, and one great granddaughter Nayelly Mixon.
