Donald was born to Orval & Leah Barnhill on 09/05/34 in Oakland, CA. He completed his high school years in Oakland and Hayward and then went on to work as baker’s helper and insurance sales before going to work at UPS. There he stayed for 30 years before retiring. He especially enjoyed his family, motor homing, cruising, Hawaii every year, The Oakland A’s Spring Training. Sports weren’t complete with The Oakland Raiders. When at home, Rotary was very important to him.
Barney & Linda were lucky enough to meet after losing both spouses and were very happily married for 14 years. Don leaves behind daughter Lynn Schirmer (Fred) and their daughter Danielle, and his son James. Also left was his sister Roberta Chilianis and multiple nieces & nephews.
