Donald E. Reynolds passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, in Brentwood, California. He was born on November 13, 1940 in Sherman, Texas, migrated west to California with his family at a young age, received his bachelor’s degree from Cal Poly and retired in Brentwood, CA. He was a sports enthusiast, world traveler picking up Spanish and Vietnamese, novice poet, writer, High School Teacher, businessman, and most importantly husband, father and Grandpa. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Emmie Reynolds, his sister, Diane Carter and beloved wife of 45 years, Rosalie Reynolds (Mother to his 4 daughters). Don will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila R. Hoban, four daughters, Andrea Mathews (Michael), Roxanne Landsman (Andrew), Sarah Flores (Daniel) and Jennifer Fogarty (Bryan); 9 wonderful grandchildren, Ashley, Ross, Sean, Meghan, Hannah, Charlotte, Cody, Elizabeth and Sofia; brother Danny Reynolds (Pam); many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Don loved singing show tunes or country hits inserting his grandkids names into the songs to make them smile. He had a wonderful singing voice and we will miss hearing it.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 1:30PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5646 Lincoln Blvd., Oroville, CA 95966. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to Sutter Delta Medical Center on Lone Tree Way in Antioch, CA.
