Dora (Dee) Leachman Lopez was born on June 1, 1932 and passed away on April 24, 2015. She was a resident of Discovery Bay for 17 years with her husband Carlos who predeceased her by two years. In her younger years Dee taught and was a guidance counselor at Washington High School in Fremont, California. She had a lifelong passion for golf and travel, actually meeting Carlos in the Hawaiian Islands. Her husband Carlos was a member of the Merchant Marines and that created a love of water and the ocean which the two of them shared with their family. Dee was also very involved with the Episcopal Church, the local Lions club, the Discovery Bay Yacht Club, and was an avid golfer.
A memorial service will be held at Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church, 200 2nd Street, Brentwood, Ca. 94513, on Thursday May 21 @ 11:00 am followed by a reception at the Discovery Bay Country Club.
