Dorothy Mae Flanary

In 1948, Dorothy married Olin “Billy” Holland and moved to California from Arkansas. They were the parents of two daughters. After “Billy’s” death, Dorothy was married to Jessie Flanary in 1968 until his death in 1995.

Dorothy was loved by all that knew her. She was the last survivor of her 10 siblings. She was a hard worker where she worked as a housekeeper at Delta Memorial Hospital until her retirement.

Dorothy was active at her monthly widows luncheon at The Bay Church in Brentwood. She loved to garden and grow vegetables.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters Sherron Herechski of Sonora and Lois (Ken) DuMoulin of Pittsburg, Grandchildren Jerry Bell Jr. and Charlene (Sean) Hendrickson, and Great Granddaughter Shayla Hendrickson.

Predeceased by parents, spouses, grandson Steven Lee Bell, four brothers, Ambrose, Wilson, Elden and Allan Snodgrass. Six sisters, Geneva McCratic, Delphia Lowe, Ruth Jones, Clara Bee Risley, Jeanette Green and Mildred Cheatham.

Services will be held at Brentwood Funeral Home, 839 1st Street, Brentwood, CA 94513. Phone # 925 634-2171. Date of service is Thursday, February 15th @ 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Union Cemetery, Brentwood.
