Fe Luna Salcedo

January 11, 1946February 10, 2021

Fe Flores Luna was born on January 11th, 1946 the eldest to her beloved parents Delfin and Elisa Luna in Navotas, Philippines. Fe Luna attended Jose Rizal Highschool and earned her higher education from the joining campus of Arellano University in the Philippines, here she earned a degree in Secretarial studies.

In November 1964 at the age of 19 Fe followed her father to the U.S where she resided with him in San Francisco, California. Here she secured her first job at JCPenney in customer service.

Not too long after she arrived in the states, she was introduced to a sailor through her father in 1965. This man went by the name of Andy Salcedo, relentlessly Andy pursued Fe, and it was not easy. Up until the day before he left for the Vietnam War, Andy asked that Fe meet him at the San Francisco Emporium so they could wed each other, he was adamant about making her his wife. That following day he waited at the Emporium, and there, Fe met him with a bag in her hand. They boarded a Grey Hound, traveled 3 hours to Reno and eloped. July 26th of 2020 Andy and Fe Salcedo celebrated 55 years together.

Later, in her life Fe started her career as an insurance underwriter at the Civil Service Insurance company for over 20 years. For the remainder of her life Fe devoted herself to her family and husband as a stay-at-home mom. During her years of life, she traveled and lived-in various places such as San Francisco, Union City, Virginia, Antioch, Brentwood and finally in her dream home in Rio Vista.

Fe had a love for traveling, cooking, shopping, dressing up and man did she love her teleserias. Fe could shop for hours on end whether it was trips to the mall, to her favorite store JCPenney or online, she made it happen. Everyone knew anytime a special occasion was coming up Fe was going to be the best dressed.

Fe’s love for her family was undeniable. As the Queen of the family, she was the strength and glue to her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will remain in the hearts of everyone she encountered in her lifetime and will never be forgotten.

On February 10th, 2021 God called our beloved Fe Luna Salcedo home. Fe was proceeded in death by her parents, Delfin and Elisa Luna, her sisters Dorothy and Mary. She is survived by her husband Andy Salcedo her children: Andre, Faye (Alvin), Stephanie (Len), and Marcia, her furry son Nemo her grandchildren: Amanda, Armando, Annaliese, and Adam. Her great grandchildren: Nathaniel, Alexa, Amara, and Liam. She also leaves behind her siblings: Tessie (Primo), Jessie (Amelia), Junior (Genvieve), Eddie (Emma), Willie (Eilyn), Michael (Rhona), Jeffrey, and Michele.

We love you and until we meet again……

I hold close to my heart the many wonderful memories of Auntie Fe growing up as a kid. I remember her as a loving, caring & a very hospitable Aunt. My memories take me back to my childhood years when she still lived in Union City. She often let me & my sisters sleep over to spend time with my cousins. She was definitely an Aunt who allowed us to have fun times. I distinctively remember a time when she allowed me, my sisters & cousins to all get in our bathing suits & enjoy running thru the sprinklers & getting wet with the garden hose in her backyard. She took real good care of us while under her care.

Looking back, Aldrin & I remember a time when Auntie Fe offered & shared her delicious pancit palabok that she cooked. It was the best that we’ve ever tasted. It was unique in that she elevated it with the addition of oysters.

Auntie Fe was beautiful inside as she was on the outside.

It’s so difficult to accept that she is no longer with us but I find comfort knowing that she is with the Lord and at peace. I along with the rest of the family will truly miss her dearly. We Love You Auntie Fe Always!

Auntie Fe,
My fondest memory of you is when me, Andre and Arvel would be hanging out on the porch at your Union City house. You would drive up in your yellow Pontiac Gran prix, just getting home from work. We would all stand up to greet you hello and you would greet us back with your beautiful smile. You were always welcoming towards me and I will never forget that. You will be truly missed and never forgotten Auntie Fe.

Mom,

The day you left us my world shattered into a million pieces. There are no words to express how hurt and lost I feel when I think about not seeing you or hearing your voice ever again. I'm going to miss everything about you, I already miss you so much. I will remember your fighting spirit, incredible strength and the unconditional love you showed to each and every one of us. Please continue to watch over and guide our family in the special way that only you know how. I love you so so much. It's never goodbye, until we meet again my beautiful mom.

Love Always,
Marcia

You will be missed Auntie Fe, thank you for your kindness and hospitality. One of the reason we moved to Antioch was because to stay closer to you, Tio Jun, Phanie, Andre, and Marcia. I remember my Kuya and I would always come over your house in UC and in Antioch. You would always offer to feed us! :) I wish I have taken my parents to visit you and Tio Jun more often :( My heart aches that you’re no longer here . Baba and I will forever keep you in our hearts! I know you’re in a better place with the Lord; smiling and pain free. Rest in Paradise Auntie!
Love,
Lala and Baba

“The family is our refuge and our springboard; nourished on it, we can advance to new horizons. In every conceivable manner, the family is a link to our past and a bridge to our future”.

Mom,
There are no words to explain the pain I am feeling. They say that it’s grieving, some say it is mourning. Whatever it is called, my heart is aching knowing I will never get another chance to see see you in person, to hear your sweet voice, to hug you, see you smile, and to tell you how much I love you. Without you, I would have never found the love of my life and mother to my children. Thank you for giving me Pippa! When it comes to family, I always think of you. You made it a point no matter the situation, good or bad, family should always stick together. I’m so sorry you didn’t get the chance to see all of us together again as God works in mysterious ways calling upon you to be one of his angels all too soon. Mom, rest assured, I will do everything I can to keep the family together. Please keep a watchful eye over us, may you Rest In Peace, and God bless your soul. Until we meet again, I miss you and love you so much!
