

George is survived by his daughter Nanette Sposito and her husband Kenny. Son, George Lucido, Jr. of Livermore, CA.. Grand daughter Kara Galindo & her husband Matthew of Martinez, Ca. Grandson Aaron Petak & his wife Crystal, great grand daughter Amelia, great grandson Jack all of Otis Orchard, WA. Grandson Christian Sposito of Brentwood, Ca. His beloved brother Frank Lucido, Sr. of San Ramon, Ca. His beloved sister, Annette Bignami of Florence, Oregon. Along with many nieces & nephews. George is preceded in death by his parents, Neno and Norma Lucido of Monterey.
George was born & raised in Monterey CA, where he attended high school at Monterey High School. George was attending high school reunions up to a few years ago.
George was an aerospace engineer for 26 Years. Retiring as Chief Engineer & Vice President for Kaiser Aerospace of San Leandro, CA. He always said he didn’t do so bad considering he did not have a college education.
He loved to travel all around the world, he loved sharing his travel stories with his family. He visited 48 US states, and he enjoyed a good road trip.
He was an avid Bay Area Sports Fan. Always rooting for his much-loved A’s, Warriors, 49ers and finally jumping on the bandwagon and cheering for the SF Giants. He was a season ticket holder for SF 49ers during the ‘70’s at Candlestick Park.
George looked forward to his annual Vegas trip the 2nd weekend in September for the opening weekend of the NFL with his buddies for over 39 years.
He was a huge fan of Freedom High School Softball in Oakley, Ca where his granddaughter played. In recent years he was the official scorekeeper for the JV & Varsity teams.
George was a gifted wood craftsman, known as the Windsor Chair Guy building Windsor chairs. He just finished his 64th chair weeks before he passed. He also created beautiful wood bowls and wood toys for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He gifted family and friends with his art.
George will be missed by many from Diablo Woodworkers Club where he has been a member for many years.
George was happiest when he reunited with the love of his life Rebecca. They held a special bond, growing up together and growing old together.
George requested no services.
